This program runs in the spring from late-March to early June and in the fall from mid-August to early November. Our U6 in-house program is for kids born in 2018.
U6 sessions will incorporate skill development activities and small-sided games. Each session will be one hour long. The start time and end time for each session are not known until the schedule is created for the season. Schedule creation does not occur until registration is complete. Once assigned to a session, the session time will remain the same for the entire season. Typically, the start time is between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. However, this is subject to change depending upon enrollment numbers. Sessions occur on Saturday each week. There are no more than 8 sessions during a season.
Instruction in this league is focused on skill development. More importantly, it is structured for the kids to have a lot of fun so that their first experience with soccer will be a positive one. These sessions are directed by a paid trainer with the support of volunteer coaches. The session will consist of approximately 30 minutes of skill development with the paid trainer, 10 minutes of activity with the volunteer coach, and 20 minutes of small-sided game play with the volunteer coach. There are no goalkeepers in the small-sided games. Small-sided games promote many touches on the ball for each child. They also provide the opportunity for the children to use the skills they learned during the training portion of the session.
Your child will be with the same team of 10-12 players each week. Your team will be assigned a field number. You will need to report to the same field number each week. Your age group coordinator will place field number signs on the fields to help you locate your child's field.

- A size 3 soccer ball
- Reversible NASC jersey*
- Water bottle
- Shin guards
- Soccer socks
- Shoes (soccer cleats recommended, but not required; screw-ins are not permitted)
*The reversible NASC jersey may be reused in future seasons.

Volunteers Needed!
NASC is an entirely volunteer run organization. For each team, we need a minimum of 2 volunteer coaches to help with the drills and run the games. If you have ever considered coaching, now is a great time to start even if you have never played before! You can learn the game along with your child, and potentially continue as your child moves into older age groups. You’re going to be at the field anyway, so you might as well join in the fun! Look for the volunteer section as you register your child.
